Triple Threat: 3-in-1 Review

Hola!

So since I had 3 face wash type items to review, I thought I'd put them all in one post. But be warned - It's going to be a long one!

Line-Up!

Up for review today are L'Oreal Skin Perfection Purifying Gel Wash, Nelsons Pure & Clear Purifying Daily Facial Wash and Nip + Fab Glycolic Scrub Fix...

L'Oreal's Skin Perfection Purifying Gel Wash:

It claims to remove impurities, help unblock pores and reveal clean and fresh skin and is dermatologically tested.

I actually really like this one, it's a clear gel and when I squirt it in my hand I sometimes think 'oops it's just water'. But it does lather a little and my face does feel clean - but not stripped after using it. It helped a little with unblocking pores/blackheads however was not a miracle product. Perhaps I am just used to slightly stronger products and this one is a little more gentle. It was not irritating to the skin, which obviously is a good point.

All in all, I really did like it particularly as I like to swap my face washes regurlarly and this is a nice one for everyday use. You can find this at Boots for £4.49.

Ingredients:
Aqua, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Coco-Betaine, Glycerin, Sodium Chloride, Benzyl Alcohol, Benzyl Salicylate, Citric Acid, Citronellol, Geraniol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Hydroxycitronellal, Limonene, Linalool, Menthol, Polyquaternium-7, PPG-5-CETEH-20, Salicylic Acid, Sodium Benzoate, Sodium Hydroxide, Parfum.

Nelsons Pure & Clear Purifying Daily Facial Wash:

Labelled as anti-blemish care, this face wash claims to be an invigorating seaweed formula with natural active plant extracts, paraben and fragrance free and dermatologically tested.

This product I quite like as it is all natural and feels quite gentle and isn't stripping. It also contains tea tree oil... I'm a big fan of tea tree oil! You can feel the seaweed in it because it feels so smooth it's almost a hint slimey (not at all in a bad way). It's not the best face wash I've ever used as I don't really feel it does much for any breakouts in comparison to say the Neutrogena Visibly Clear Grapefruit line - I will use it up, knowing that there are no harmful ingredients and it's all natural.

I think this would be perfect if you have sensitive, blemish-prone skin and are more of a normal/dry or dry/very dry skin type. You can find this at Boots for £7.99.

Ingredients:
Aqua, Polysorbate 20, Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate (Vegetable Source), Cocamidopropyl Betaine (Coconut Source), Carrageenan Seaweed Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Arnica Extract, Benzyl Alcohol, Calendula Extract, Hypericum Extract, Xanthan Gum, Tea Tree Oil, Lavender Oil, Limonene, Grapefruit Oil, Linalool, Petit Grain Oil.

Nip + Fab Glycolic Scrub Fix:

Labelled as a triple action facial polish, this scrub contains 3% glycolic acid.

Why Glycolic Acid you ask? Well, it is a natural exfoliant and works by breaking down substances that bond dead skin cells beneath the top layer of skin, meaning you get smoother and softer skin - and a much more efficient exfoliant, particularly when combined in scrubs or liquid chemical exfoliants.

As a scrub, it has small scrub particles which are a little harsh/abrasive, however there aren't tonnes so the scrub has a semi-wash-like consistency also which I like. This means that you get a good scrub-a-dub, whilst really getting a 2-in-1 action with the Glycolic Acid! What I like so much about this product is that my skin feels so super duper soft after using it but not tight or dried out. Plus - it contains salicylic acid... the more of that, the better!

Of the 3 products, this is by far my favourite. I've never heard anyone speak/blog about this product, but I thought it was absolutely fantastic! You can find this at Boots for £9.95.

Ingredients:
Aqua, Polyethylene, Cetearyl Alcohol, Capric Triglyceride, Trietholanolamine, Glycolic Acid, Glycerin, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Shea Butter, Sweet Almond Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Benzyl Alcohol, Xanthan Gum, Limonene, Parfum, Disodium EDTA, Salicylic Acid, Benzyl Benzoate, Dehydroectic Acid, Geraniol, Aloe Vera Leaf Extract, Tocopheryl Acetate, Butylphenyl Methylpropianol, Citral, Linalool, Blue No.1.

All three products are part of Boots' 3 for 2 offer, so take advantage of the great offer!

Have you tried any of these face washes? Which ones do you prefer? Let me know in the comments below.
